Global IT company announces 150 jobs as it opens new European HQ in Drogheda

Oregon based global technology giant, Mobile Technologies Inc. (MTI), has announced that it is to hire 150 people over the next three years at its European Contact Centre Headquarters in Magdalene Street, Drogheda which was officially opened today.

Recruitment is already under way for a variety of technology based roles at the new Drogheda office of MTI which specialises in mobile device display technologies and operats in over 90 countries worldwide.

The announcement and official opening ceremony were officiated by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor TD along with the MTI President and CEO Chris Remy. The event was attended by CEO of IDA Ireland Martin Shanahan, the Mayor of Drogheda, Oliver Tully and other local dignitaries.

Minister Mary Mitchell O’Connor said: “… Driving investment into Regional locations is a key focus for me. This investment will be of considerable benefit to Drogheda and the Border Region, providing a significant boost to employment and benefitting the economy of the town and region.” Read the full article here
